• Lygeri's Journey

In May, each of the 3 classes in Year 2 scurried off to Athens in search of a real life historical experience. The enchanting Benaki Museum near Syntagma was the venue for Year 2 pupils to take a magical trip into the past as it illustrates so well the character of the Greek world from times gone by. • On the Ancient History Trail

On Wednesday 1st June, Year 5 as a whole soaked up the history of old Athens when they visited one of two main attractions in the city centre. One group headed for the archaeological site of the Classical Agora, in Plaka, Athens. The pupils who follow Greek History and their teachers, Ms Kyriakopoulou and Ms Tsirigoti, followed the route of the ‘peripatos’ that leads from the Acropolis to the Agora. Read more...


• Move It

On Friday, 3rd June, Ms Siafakas' Year 5 class entertained us with a fun-filled assembly all about playground games. The pupils showed us all not only why it's so important to keep ourselves amused in the playground, but various ingenious ways of doing so. Read more...


• Aim High

New school records were achieved in Years 5 & 6 on Tuesday 31st May 2016. The day saw great excitement and tension mounting for competitors as the High Jump finals for KS2 were held in a most eagerly awaited competition.  Read more...


• The Recess Queen

Ms Katsamba’s and Ms Pateloudi’s Reception children put on a wonderful assembly on Friday 3rd June all about playtime.In a fast-moving set of playground scenes, the children learned how to resolve conflict and even befriend the most difficult child in the school so that they could play safely and happily together. • Year 10 Experience the Beauty of the North

Last weekend the Year 10 pupils enjoyed a recreational and educational three day trip to North Greece.  They had the opportunity to visit the beautiful village of Anavra in Magnesia, a small settlement that has transformed itself to become a model of rural sustainability for all of Europe with an eco-park, organic farming, a wind farm and much more. The highlight of our annual school sports calendar is undoubtedly a successful sports day. With each key stage of the school having its own sports day this month, there was certainly a competitive and excited feeling in the air. On the last day of the Spring term, Friday 22nd April, the Foundation Stage classes visited the Attica Park Zoo in Spata for a little taste of the wild side of life that's on offer to see there! 'May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears,' said Nelson Mandela. This motto was explained very well indeed on Friday, 15th April, by Ms Orfanogianni's capably confident Year 6 class. On Monday 11th April, Year 4 visited the OTE Museum in Kifissia. The children were fascinated to find out how people in the past used to send information long before the invention of telephones, using both fire and hydraulic telegraphs. Read more...

• Forensics 2016

This weekend, 30 of our pupils, ranging from Grade 7 through to A-Level pupils, will be representing the school at the Panhellenic Forensics Association Tournament. • A Tribute to William Shakespeare

Twenty Senior Drama Club pupils of St. Lawrence College paid homage on Friday 19th February to the great Bard of Avon who died in 1616. The stage became their world as they enacted “The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet”. A difficult play in Shakespearean English, the Drama club pupils worked hard to bring this production together. Read more...

On Friday 29th January, 2T performed their marvellous assembly on the theme of “Light and Dark.” They defined the terms - with a bit of help from Kermit and Grover – and understood that light is the absence of darkness; light is in fact what helps us see. On Friday 5th February, Years 3, 5 & 6 were given an illuminating talk on healthy eating by Tammy Valta Nijhof, a dietary expert and graduate of The Institute For Integrative Nutrition. • Horsey, Horsey, Horsey

"Horsey, horsey, don't you stop; just let your feet go clippety clop!" So goes the song, and on Friday 29th January that was just what our little cherubs in Foundation Stages 1 & 2 were very happy to do. They visited the Antoniadou Stables near Keratea for a fun-packed day during which they met all the farm animals that live there and learned about their habitats in and around the stables.  Read more...

Well, some may say the whole world is but a stage, others may say it's not, but everyone who attended the theatre visit on Wednesday, 20th January, would surely agree that the stage in front of them was as full of life as any scene they'd ever encountered. • Pet Day

On Friday the 22nd of January the Early Years' children enjoyed a tremendous Pet Day at school. Many children brought in their pets from home to "show and tell" to their friends. All in all, an adorable little rabbit ,a sweet tortoise and two exceptionally well-behaved dogs came along to visit us.  Read more...

On Monday 11th January 2016 the Reception classes attended the creative workshop titled “Hello Mr Fear” at The Emotions Museum in the centre of Athens. This trip linked in with their ‘Dinosaurs’ topic and really brought their learning to life. Read more...
