IA Bronze expedition to Mt. Helicon

Senior School

Last weekend, 9th –10th May, our IA Bronze group completed another successful and memorable expedition on the stunning slopes of Mount Helicon in Boeotia — a mountain rich in natural beauty and Greek mythology.

Over the course of the weekend, pupils took on two demanding hikes, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and determination while exploring the vibrant spring landscape. Navigating independently with maps and compasses, they put into practice the skills they have been developing during their training sessions, gaining confidence and valuable real-world experience along the way.

Beyond the challenge of the hikes, the expedition was also an opportunity to connect with nature and with one another. In the evening, pupils gathered to play games, enjoy the mountain atmosphere, and prepare their own hot meals after a long day outdoors — building independence, cooperation, and lasting memories together.

Congratulations to all pupils for their enthusiasm, effort, and excellent teamwork throughout the expedition!
